adult autism assessments

adult autism assessment writing notes about sessions

A steady, three-session online autism evaluation for adults seeking clarity and language for their lived experience.

This assessment is offered through secure telehealth for adults (18+) across Oregon. The process is slow and grounding and more like an honest conversation than a cold clinical checklist. In three 90-minute sessions, we explore your history, autistic traits, sensory patterns, masking, burnout, and lived experience with care.

Whether you’re seeking an official autism diagnosis, exploring AuDHD traits, or trying to understand lifelong patterns, this assessment is designed to meet you where you are and help you make sense of your neurodivergence.

This assessment is for adults wondering if their lifelong social, sensory, or communication patterns may align with autism spectrum disorder. It’s especially helpful for folks who were never identified in childhood and want clearer language for their lived experience.

masking or social exhaustion

sensory sensitivities (noise, texture, light)

executive functioning struggles

comfort in routine, structure, and predictability

traits that overlap with ADHD or AuDHD

a lifelong feeling of being a little different from the folks around you

You may be a good fit if you notice:

If this feels familiar, this evaluation may give you the validation you’ve needed but never received.

How This All Works

Step 1 : Consultation

The consultation is a 15-minute phone call where we check in, clarify your intentions for seeking an adult autism assessment, and make sure the evaluation is a good fit. It’s a simple, steady conversation to help us both feel clear before moving forward.

Step 2:  Gathering What We Need

After the consultation, you’ll receive a set of intake forms and screening tools that help me understand your history, sensory patterns, social experiences, and the questions that brought you here. Most folks spend between 2–3 hours completing everything, but everyone works at their own pace.

These materials give us a clearer starting point so our sessions can focus on your story, not rushing through paperwork

Step 3: First 90min Session

Our first 90-minute session is a conversation about your history, sensory experiences, social patterns, and the traits you’ve been wondering about. It’s not a checklist, it’s real talk, with room to pause, reflect, and share what feels important.

Many folks say this is the first time their experiences feel understood and taken seriously.

Step 4: Second 90min Session

Our second 90-minute session is a conversation where we review the assessment forms and screening tools you completed. We go through each area together, sensory patterns, social experiences, communication style, executive functioning, burnout, masking, and any autistic traits that showed up in your results.

Step 5: Final 60min Session

Our final session is 60 minutes and is where you receive your diagnostic determination. We review your adult autism assessment results and talk through whether your profile meets criteria for autism spectrum disorder.

You leave with understanding, validation, and a clear path for what comes next.

Step 5: Optional Diagnostic Report

If you’d like written documentation of your results, you can request an optional diagnostic report after the assessment is complete. This report summarizes your autism evaluation, outlines the traits we discussed, and provides clear next-step recommendations and supportive resources.

Please note:

This report is for personal understanding, workplace conversations, and therapeutic planning only.

It cannot be used for Social Security (SSI), disability applications, forensic or legal cases, housing accommodations, or other formal disability determinations.

This option is simply here if having something in writing feels helpful or grounding for you.

Step 5: Optional ADHD Assessment

If you’d like to explore ADHD or AuDHD traits alongside your autism assessment, an optional ADHD evaluation can be added. This includes an additional 60-minute session where we review ADHD-specific screening tools, discuss your attention and executive functioning patterns, and explore how ADHD may interact with your lived experience.

This step is completely optional and if interested, this session will happen between the 2nd and 3rd session.
